Itinerary
Day 1 - Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon your guide will escort you on a 2-3 hour walk through the Kata Tjuta domes to the Valley of the Winds lookout.
The walking path is rocky, and requires a good level of fitness. After the walk, take in the magnificent outback sunset over Kata Tjuta. Refresh yourself with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Travel to our exclusive venue to enjoy a Australian barbecue dinner consisting of steak, sausages, kangaroo meat, salads and bread with complimentary Australian sparkling wine. There is time for stargazing too (weather permitting). Enquire about vegetarian meals at time of booking.

Day 2 - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk .On both tours you will rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area, Talinguru nyakunytjaku. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the colours of Uluru gradually change as the sun rises on the horizon. Tour the base of Uluru, including a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole.
View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the flora, fauna and Aboriginal history from your Driver/Guide. Continue around the base of Uluru by coach and see various sacred areas. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where there is time to read the Tjukurpa (Aboriginal law) or purchase some locally made Aboriginal art. Return to Ayers Rock Resort approx 10.30 am
Day 3: Kings Canyon
In the morning relax or join an optional tour. In the afternoon travel to Kings Canyon. This evening you may wish to attend the award winning ‘Sounds of Firelight’ dinner, exclusive to King Canyon Resort.

Day 4: Depart Kings Canyon
In the cool of the morning join your Driver/Guide for a 3 hour guided climb to and around the rim of Kings Canyon. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Watarrka National Park and into the canyon itself. The rim walk is rocky and steep in places and is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the canyon floor, an easier shady walk that follows a trail between the two sheer walls of the canyon. Travel on to Alice Springs or back to Ayers Rock Resort.
Departs: Daily 2.15pm (Apr – Oct) and 3.00pm (Nov – Mar) from Ayers Rock Resort
Concludes: 6.30pm in Alice Springs or 4.30pm (Oct – Mar) and 5.00pm (Apr – Sep) at Ayers Rock Resort (times approximate)
