Itinerary
Day 1 - Alice Springs – Mt Ebenezer – Kings Canyon
Depart Alice Springs at 6.30 am, stopping at Mt Ebenezer for a light breakfast along the way.
On arrival at Kings Canyon enjoy a prepared lunch, then a 3 hour guided rim walk (though if weather conditions are over 35 degree Celsius or if the group prefers we can opt to do a base walk and visit to Kathleen Springs instead).
Travel back to Erlduna for dinner and overnight budget motel accommodation.
Day 2 - Erlduna– Ayers Rock – Alice Springs
Depart Erlduna at 9am the next day and travel to Ayers Rock, arriving about midday.
The itinerary here changes sequence between hotter and cooler months: We stop first at the Visitors Centre (warmer months only), enjoy lunch then travel to the Olgas, do a walk, then back to Ayers Rock and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. We do guided walks at Ayers Rock, or you may choose to climb.
The highlight of this great two day trip is a fabulous BBQ Champagne Dinner at Ayers Rock while watching one of our magnificent Central Australian Sunsets and the amazing changing colours of Uluru.
We depart for Alice Springs after sunset, arriving back into Alice Springs approx midnight in cooler months and 1.00am warmer months.
