4 Day Short Break from Darwin

Itinerary

Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu

Depart Darwin at 7.15am

Join the famous Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Travel into Kakadu National Park for lunch
and visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. There is time for an optional 30 minute scenic flight ($130). View ancient Aboriginal rock art and take a guided walk to the top of Ubirr for magnificent views.

Overnight Kakadu:  Aurora Kakadu (Budget), Aurora Kakadu (Standard), Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn (Superior)
Meals:  Lunch

Day 2: Kakadu - Katherine

Take a guided walk at Nourlangie Rock. Continue to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, before a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong to observe saltwater crocodiles and prolific wildlife.

This afternoon travel via Pine Creek and on to Katherine.

Overnight Katherine:   All Seasons Katherine.
Meals:  Lunch

Day 3: Katherine George - Darwin

Enjoy breakfast while cruising through Katherine Gorge and watch for crocodiles basking in the sun. Visit the informative National Park Information Centre, then continue to the Edith Falls. The paperbark and pandanus fringed natural pool at the base of the falls is safe for swimming throughout most of the year (conditions permitting). Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, en route to Darwin.

Overnight Darwin:  Value Inn (Budget), Mirambeena Resort (Standard) or Holiday Inn Esplanade (Superior), Darwin.
Meals:  Breakfast

Day 4: Litchfield National Park - Darwin

Explore beautiful Litchfield National Park. Stop to view Florence Falls, Tolmer Falls and Wangi Falls. Return to Darwin, arriving at approximately 6.00pm.
