Overview

Whale Watching

Each year the magnificent humpback whales journey some 16,000 km from Antarctica to mate and calf in the warm waters of the Barrier Reef.

After the mating, the whales return to Antarctica before making the whole journey again 12 months later to give birth to their calves. It is during the time we have the opportunity to see these magnificent mammals in their own environment.

To see these giants of the sea is an awe inspiring experience. Cruise into Moreton Bay. Possible see turtles and stingrays as you seek out the might humpback whales. A short stop at Tangalooma resort provides a look at the island paradise.
