We leave Darwin early, and make our way to Nitmiluk National Park, home to Katherine Gorge. Here you will have the chance to take an optional cruise through the first 2 gorges (own expense and seasonal). You also have the option of canoeing through the first gorge (own expense and seasonal), or taking a guided walk to Baruwei lookout-an amazing photo spot. Once we've finished exploring the gorge, we continue south, and stop for dinner at the Daly Waters Pub. Your journey to Alice Springs continues overnight.

In the early hours of the morning, we make a stop at Tennant Creek so that you can stretch your legs and grab some refreshments before we continue on to Alice Springs. There is also one last photo stop as we cross the tropic of Capricorn. We arrive at our final destination around 8am and droped off at your accommodation. Our guide will pick you for the afternoon sightseeing around 'The Alice' including the School of the Air which provides an educational service for children living in remote areas. Stop at the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Learn how this marvellous facility operates to provide a 'mantle of safety' to the people of the outback. Visit the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you will see unique Central Australian reptiles such as the Perentie lizard and Thorny Devil. Conclude with a panoramic view of Alice Springs and the surrounding ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.

You will be picked up from your accommodation at 6:00am, first destination Kings Canyon. Enjoy a guided 3 hour hike through the sandstone domes of the Lost City. Visit the many Amphitheatres, North & South Walls and have a swim in the Garden of Eden. Next stop, Curtin Springs where we set up our bush camp. Your guide will prepare a healthy camp-oven dinner. Relax around the fire then curl up in your cozy swag under a million stars. ( L, D)

& Uluru Sunset

Feel the spiritual significance on your guided walk through to the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. Be shown bush tucker along the hike before heading to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre in the afternoon where you can listen to tales from the 'Tjukurpa' Dreamtime. We spend the evening enjoying dinner at the spectacular Sunset over Uluru. Witness the awesome sight of Uluru changing colour. We spend this night at the Ayers Rock Campground with toilets and showers. (B, L, D)

Take in a memorable Uluru Sunrise over the World's Largest Rock. You then have time to complete an optional Uluru Climb or guided Uluru Base Walk around Uluru. You will see beautiful sites such as the Mala Walk, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings. We stop on the way home for an optional Camel Ride at the Camel Farm. You will arrive back in Alice Springs at approximately 5:30pm. Back to civilization, get cleaned up and we meet later with your Guide for dinner and a couple of beers in an The Rock Bar. (B,L)

You have the rest of the day free to explore the heart of the Red Centre. Option: Go for a Ballooning Adventure to have an arial 'Bird's Eye' panoromic view of the historic Alice Springs area. Speak to us, we will arrange it for you.

An early departure this morning as we make our way to Coober Pedy, crossing the Northern Territory/South Australian border. We take a break at the outback town of Marla, where you have a chance to purchase some lunch (own expense) and stretch your legs. Our next stop is Coober Pedy, 'the Opal Capital of the World'. Upon arrival your guide will give you a tour of this unique town, before visiting an underground mine and museum where we enjoy a guided tour. You will also have a chance to purchase some of the stunning opal jewellery produced from the mine. Tonight stay overnight in a unique underground bunkhouse in Coober Pedy.

After breakfast we continue the journey south along the Stuart Highway and stop at some of the salt lakes of Central Australia for an interesting photo opportunity. We pass by the 'rocket-launching' town of Woomera - part of a former military test site. Next we make our way to Port Augusta where we stop to enjoy lunch (own expense). We're on the home stretch now leaving the vast open outback plains behind us, we make our way into South Australia's capital city Adelaide. (B)

On Day 2 Alice Springs arival is at about 8am and you are droped off at your accommodation to rest. you need to arrange with the driver to drop off at you will join an afternoon tour on the same day.

Please note Itinerariy of the Day1/2 may vary cruise and canoeing at Katherine Gorge is seasonal and is not available during the wet season and during summer the itinerary can change due to high temperatures. In this case Kings Canyon rim walk will be on the morning of day 4.
