Another big day - this morning we head to Bairds Bay, which is a sublime stretch of coastline where we can spend time on the beach and having a swim. It's an opportunity to experience one of Australia's most unique wildlife experiences of swimming with dolphins and sea lions.
This incredible optional wildlife experience involves a 4-hour boat cruise. We find the friendly populations and can swim and snorkel amongst them. There is nothing that can parallel the feeling of communing with wild creatures such as these.
On completion of the tour we travel back to Adelaide stopping at Wadlatta Interpretative Culture Centre to learn more about the amazing destination of the Nullarbor and Eyre Peninsula.
This is an amazing experience - you may have swum with dolphins at other places around the world but the interaction that you will have with the sea lions and dolphins at Bairds Bay will leave you breathless. Bairds bay is a very scheltered bay on the Eyre Peninsula and passengers board the boat for a short ride to our first stop which is to swim with sealions. This takes place in approximately 2 metres of water. It is a natural experience and the sea lions come into the sheltered lagoon to interact with us. After this, we head further out into the bay to swim with the dolphins. This happens in four metres of water but is still within the sheltered bay. The tour is 3-4 hours, wetsuit and snorkel equipment is provided at no additional cost.
There is no accommodation this night. (BL)
