Spend a relaxing day on the water just 20km from the city and experience an astounding variety of scenery.

Paddle amongst tranquil bays and beneath the lichen-covered Alum Cliffs, explore sea caves, enjoy views of Bruny Island and leave your footprints on idyllic sandy beaches.

For lunch, enjoy Tasmania's famous produce whilst relaxing on one of our many beautiful beaches.

Throughout your day, keep a look out for the abundant wildlife that calls this Tinderbox Marine Reserve home, including majestic white-bellied sea eagles, stingrays, seals and if we're lucky a pod of dolphins or a migrating whale.

This full-day paddle is operated in a one-way direction, depending on the forecast wind direction. It is a relaxed and easy paddle and suitable for beginners and children over 10 when accompanied by an adult.

  • Departure Point: Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre, 20 Davey Street, Hobart
  • Departs: 9am every Sunday (November to April)
  • Duration: Approximately 7 hours (with 4 to 5 hours of kayaking).
  • Ages: This is a full day paddle and is suitable for children over 10 years of age when accompanied by an adult.
