Itinerary
Day 1 - Melbourne - Great Ocean Road - 12 Apostles
Departing Melbourne we cruise along the stunning Great Ocean Road which winds its way along Victoria's magnificent south west coast. Wonder at the massive rock formations formed by the sea and beautiful beaches. Visit many of the great highlights along this scenic route.
- Stop at the Great Ocean Road sign and memorial for a great photo shot.
- Travel on through the seaside coastal towns of Torquay and Lorne.
- 12 Apostles – Australia's third most visited tourist site.
- Helicopter rides available over the 12 Apostles (AU $60 optional extra).
- See koalas up close and personal in the wild.
- Apollo Bay – Seaside resort town for lunch and a stroll along the beach.
- London Bridge - Loch Ard Gorge - Bay of Martyrs.
- Whale watching *winter only.
After a full day of activity our first overnight stay is at Warrnambool Beach Backpackers one of the best coastal backpacker hostels in Victoria. Take an evening stroll along the foreshore and watch the sunset over the ocean. Internet available.
Day 2 - The Grampians - Bushwalking - Sightseing
From Warrnambool we travel through to the Grampians National Park renowned for its rugged ranges and it is here that you will experience the true Australian bush. Be ready to put your boots on to experience an action packed day of sightseeing, exploring and bushwalking.
- Go on an exhilarating hike up one of the majestic mountains with stunning views of these mountainous ranges. ( Mount Hollow, The Pinnacle or Mount Zero).
- McKenzie Falls - one of Victoria’s largest and most beautiful waterfalls.
- Reeds or Boroka lookout points with breathtaking views.
- Visit the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre bringing to life the history and culture of the aboriginal people from this region.
- Be on the lookout for native Australian wildlife including emus, kangaroos and echidnas.
By late afternoon we leave the Grampian National Park behind us and make our way across the Victoria / South Australia border to finish the day at Naracoorte Backpackers enjoying a glass of wine with an Aussie BBQ (summer) or home cooked country meal (winter). Time to unwind and relax at one of the friendliest country hostels in South Australia.
Day 3 - World Heritage Fossill Caves - Aventure Caving - Adelaide
After breakfast we make our way 10km south to explore South Australia’s Naracoorte Caves - A World Heritage Listed Site for an experience you will remember for ever.
- Take a guided tour through one of the many fascinating caves OR experience the thrill of ADVENTURE CAVE where you Get Down and Get Dirty crawling, sliding and scrambling through tunnels and chambers, Helmet, Light, Overalls and Kneepads all provided (Extra Cost - Approx $20) . All tours taken by trained park tour guides.
- Wander through the Wonambi Fossil Centre and walk with the Mega Fauna 200,000 years old. Giant kangaroos, wombats and snakes.
- Horse Riding 1.5hr bush trail ride (*optional extra at $40 per person - summer months only).
- Swimming "Free" a great way to cool off after a long hot day (summer only).
- Free wine tasting at Stonehaven Winery.
Time to relax on the bus and reflect on the last three days of your Australian experience. We depart the limestone Coast region of South Australia heading towards Adelaide. Crossing the Great Murray River and then on through the rolling Adelaide Hills arriving in Adelaide the city of churches at approx 6.30pm.

Guided tour at World Heritage listed Fossil Caves, Entry Fees to National Park, 2 nights dorm hostel accommodation 'Upgrades to twin, double or single" can be arranged at additional cost. All bedding and linen. Breakfast (Day 2 and 3 and Dinner (Day 1 and 2).
What to Bring
Sturdy closed walking shoes, sensible clothing as temperatures can vary, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, swimming gear, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, camera, film and money for lunches and snacks.
Upgrades
(Subject to availability and payable to motel at each destination). Motel - Twin/Double Approx $125 per room per night.
