Explore all the coastal highlights between Perth and Exmouth before heading into the Western Australian Outback. Travel to some of the worlds oldest mountains as you discover the amazing Karijini National Park

Itinerary

Pinnacles Desert

Day 1 - Perth to Lynton Station

We depart Perth (07.00 hrs) and head to Lancelin for sand boarding on huge white sand dunes before making our way to the unique Pinnacles Desert. After walking through this eerie desert of limestone pillars, we make our way to the historic Lynton convict settlement, which these days is a typical Australian wheat and sheep farming community. (Lunch & Dinner)

Day 2 - Lynton Station to Nanga Bay - Monkey Mia

Explore coastal and inland regions of Kalbarri National Park including Natures Window and The Loop as well as watching out for wildlife and wildflowers in season. We continue north to Shark Bay and the Stromatolites and Shell Beach. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Overnight at Nanga Bay or Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge

Day 3 - Monkey Mia to Warroora Station

After breakfast we visit the famous wild dolphins of Monkey Mia. Spend the morning at Dolphin Beach with these amazing creatures, however please note being wild, an appearance is not always guaranteed. You may also take the opportunity to go sailing and spotting dolphins and dugongs. After lunch we bid the dolphins farewell as we travel to Shell Beach, before continuing north via Carnarvon to our overnight sheep station stay. This sheep station is situated on a 50 km secluded stretch of the Ningaloo Reef. This evening enjoy camp oven cooking by the campfire. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Overnight: Warroora Station

Day 4 - Warroora Station - Coral Bay Ningaloo Reef - Exmouth

After breakfast, depart for Coral Bay the geographic point where the Ningaloo Reef is the closest to the mainland. The Ningaloo Reef with over 450 species of fish and 250 species of coral as well as manta rays, dugong and dolphins inhabiting its sheltered waters becomes a must to snorkel or to join a glass bottom boat tour. In the afternoon we travel north past Cape Range National Park, to the township of Exmouth located at the northern end of the Ningaloo Reef. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Nanga Bay

Day 5 - Exmouth

Today we explore Exmouth, Cape Range and the Ningaloo Reef. Here we can snorkel the clear waters of the Ningaloo Reef, drift aimlessly over the coral of Turquoise Bay, or swim from a pure white coral beach . Today you have the time to join a Dive Boat for and optional day of diving this magnificent Reef, or chase the elusive Whale Shark! (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Overnight Exmouth.

Day 6 - Exmouth and Karijini

Depart Exmouth and travel through outback sheep and cattle stations to the Ashburton River. After lunch we continue through the ancient mountains of the Hamersley Ranges with their spectacular rock formations and outback scenery on our way to our first camp in the amazing Karijini National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Overnight camp Auski.

Day 7 - Karijini

Today we head for the amazing Karijini National Park for an adventurous day trekking gorges such as: Weano Gorge, Hancock Gorge, Joffre Gorge and Knox Gorge. After lunch we travel to Dales Gorge and do an amazing trek through the bottom of the gorge to Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Karijini National Park

Day 8 - Karijini and Pardoo

Following the Hamersley Ranges we make our way to Port Hedland, the mining hub of Western Australia. Here we see the huge Iron Ore Port and the Mile long trains that supply the ore. From Port Hedland we travel north to Pardoo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9 - Port Hedland and Broome

After a morning swim at 80 Mile Beach we head north to Broome. This is a direct run along highway number 1 and into Broome. We arrive with time for a town tour of Broome and sunset on Cable Beach.

Further Information

Accommodated Tours

Accommodated tours stay at farms, stations or country hostels. Room configurations vary from 2 to 10 bed bunkhouse styled rooms with shared toilet and shower facilities. Upgrades are available for twin share and single supplement.

Camping Tours

Utilise high quality camping equipment, two person tents, self inflating mattresses and custom built kitchen trailers. These tours are designed for camping in comfort. Where possible stopovers are at permanent camps with serviced WCs and shower facilities. Camp stretchers are available for hire on request.

Hiking, Swimming, Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, 4 x 4 , Sand Boarding, Boat Cruises, Quad Bikes, Scenic Flights (Some activities are optional extra)

Luggage

Please keep luggage to a minimum packed in soft bags. Suitcases by prior arrangement only.

Deposits & Final Payments

20% deposit required on booking. Balance 30 days prior to departure date. Bookings made within 30 days of departure, must be paid in full on receipt of booking confirmation / invoice.

Cancellations

All cancellations are subject to a 10% administration fee. A fee of 50% of the total tour cost will apply if cancelled within 14 days of the date of travel and if cancelled under 9 days from the date of travel a cancellation penalty of 100% applies. Travel Insurance and Cancellation Insurance is strongly recommended on all tours.
