Itinerary
Day 1 - Perth to Margaret River
Travelling south we stop for morning tea (own expense) at Dawesville Channel. We continue our journey south to the Margaret River Region and visit Xanadu Winery, one of the early established vineyards of the region for wine tasting and the chance to purchase from their extensive cellar and merchandise collection.
Our next stop is at Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch before witnessing raptors being handled up close and be in awe at their amazing speed during a free flight display. Then its time to experience a guided tour of Mammoth Cave, one of over 300 natural underground limestone caves in the district. Travelling south we pass by stunning Boranup Forest, a visual highlight of the region before arriving at Augusta's famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, a geographical point of significance marking the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans.
Returning north to the town of Margaret River you will be dropped off at your overnight accommodation, Australis Margaret River, at approximately 5.00pm to check-in and tonight enjoy dinner in the onsite restaurant.
Accomodation: Australis Margaret River - Motel with ensuite rooms, located just out of the town centre.

Day 2 - Margaret River to Perth
This morning is yours to enjoy a sleep-in or to browse the main street of Margaret River township. Enjoy shops featuring works of local crafts people, make a visit to the Margaret River Wine Showroom, located in the Margaret River Visitor Centre. Check-out this morning is at 10.00am; please leave your luggage in storage at the hotel reception so that it can be collected on your return this afternoon. At approximately 11.00am you will be picked up by a local wine touring company for a very enjoyable afternoon out and about sampling some of the regions gourmet delights.
Your afternoon starts on the banks of the Margaret River enjoying a gourmet Aussie style BBQ and informative talk by your local wine guide on appreciating the region's fine wine. Margaret River is responsible for producing less than 2% of Australia's wine but more than 25% of Australia's premium wine, the selection will be impressive at the wineries you visit on tour. See behind the scenes as you visit a barrel room, and to complete your indulgent experience you will also visit The Chocolate Factory, Cheese Factory and a local boutique brewery (time permitting). Your guide is well known to the wineries you visit and will provide you with a great insight into the wine region by the time you return to your hotel at approximately 5.00pm.
Here you will need to collect your luggage and be waiting at reception to meet your coach captain for your return journey to Perth. On our journey home we break at a café for a light dinner at the Busselton Jetty (own expense).
