We travel along the Luritja Road towards Kings Canyon. On arrival enjoy a delicious lunch, then a spectacular 3 hour Guided "Canyon Rim Walk" (if temp is over 35 degrees celsius or if the group prefers we can do a base walk and visit Kathleen Springs instead)
A breathtaking walk around the rim of the canyon allows you to gaze down in awe at the sandstone chasm plunging 270 metres below to the canyon floor. Venture down into the depths of the chasm, and you'll discover luxuriant cycads around the permanent waterhole in the exotic "Garden of Eden" You'll also find adventure in discovering the eerie, beehive-shaped rock formations, appropriately called the "Lost City"
This national park is a conservation of rock holes and gorges that provide refuge for over 600 species of plants and many native animals
Travel back to Erldunda Motel for a healthy dinner, and then to Alice Springs returning approx midnight in cooler months and 1.00am warmer months. (Comfortable coach seats are great for a sleep on the way home)
