After picking you up from your accommodation in Alice Springs bright and early, we hit the road for five fantastic days of Outback adventure travel. (For those commencing at Uluru, we will collect you from the Outback Pioneer Hotel or the airport)

Travel to Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park with a few stops along the way for refreshments, a camel ride (own expense) and a chance to purchase Aboriginal paintings. Spend the afternoon at Uluru, which includes a visit to the Cultural Centre to learn about the Tjukurpa (Aboriginal law/religion), a guided base walk or a chance to climb (weather permitting) should you choose. Note: Uluru is a sacred site and Anangu, the indigenous custodians, respectfully ask visitors not to climb it.

View a magnificent Uluru sunset accompanied with a glass or two of sparkling wine before travelling to our remote campsite complete with safari tents. Enjoy a delicious meal, a couple of drinks and time to sit back to reflect on what you've seen on the first day of this Outback tour.

Witness an impressive Uluru sunrise from a lookout close to our campsite. Enjoy breakfast before we travel to Kata Tjuta for a 7km hike through the magnificent "Valley of the Winds". After a leisurely lunch we travel to Curtin Springs Cattle Station where there's plenty of time to get a close look at a typical working cattle station before we travel to Kings Creek Station for our second night at a remote outback campsite. Our private campsite at Kings Creek is miles from the crowds, which is where the feeling of 'wayoutback' really starts to take hold. After a campfire dinner it's time to kick back and be mesmerised by the millions of stars on display. Star gazing in Central Australia is what Outback travel is all about.

This morning we take a guided walk to see the towering walls, crevices and plateaus of Watarrka (Kings Canyon). Visit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and the tranquil 'Garden of Eden'. After Watarrka we 4WD along the famous Mereenie Loop Road where you will be shaken and not stirred! Spot wildlife along the way before arriving at our permanent camp at Glen Helen, near the stunning waterhole that the traditional owners of this land believe is home to an ancient and powerful Rainbow Serpent.

Spend today exploring the mighty West MacDonnell Ranges. Travel off road to Ormiston Gorge, keep your eyes peeled for Perentie Lizards lazing along the banks and take a swim in the rock holes. Hike the "Ghost Gum Walk" before four wheel driving through the Owen Springs Reserve following the footsteps of the first European explorers. Tonight we rest at Owen Springs, spending a night 'Wayoutback' under the southern stars, complete with campfire and a hearty meal. Imagine what it was like for our first explorers discovering this raw and remote part of Central Australia - that's Outback travel at its most adventurous!

After a hearty breakfast we cross the famous Hugh River Stock Route to the inspirational Oak Valley Aboriginal Community. Spend time with the traditional owners exploring the land where you can try your hand at boomerang throwing, see ancient rock art paintings, and learn about the profound understanding the owners have of this pristine, remote place.

Travelling back to Alice Springs via the Old South Road, we stop in at the Erwinga Art site before returning to your accommodation at approximately 5.30pm. After returning to civilisation, a hot shower awaits before joining the rest of your tour group for a farewell meal and few cold ales. You've just completed a rugged, Outback travel experience, so enjoy a night of fun, rest and reflection.
