On arrival at Alice Springs Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 12 noon).

Tour the sights of 'The Alice' including the historic Telegraph Station, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the School of the Air and the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. Finish the day with views from Anzac Hill.

?u Ayers Rock Base Tour and Sunset

Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Ayers Rock Resort.

This afternoon tour the base of Uluru in comfort as your Driver Guide provides commentary about the numerous sacred sites and features to be found at Uluru. Continue by coach to the Kuniya Walk from where you'll be escorted on foot to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. Later visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. In the late afternoon, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine.

?u Sunrise _ Kata Tju?a (the Olgas)

Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set Uluru alight. Travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). On the way enjoy panoramic views of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations.

Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Travel to Kings Canyon and make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. The hike is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Or, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon creek bed.

Afterwards, travel to Alice Springs.

Fitness requirement

Low to moderate level of fitness required:

  • Uluru: Low level of fitness required. The Kuniya Walk is approximately 1 hour gentle walk on flat ground.
  • Kata Tjuta: Moderate level of fitness required. Walking on uneven surface required to complete Walpa Gorge walk, however, guests can return to the coach at any time if needed.
  • Kings Canyon: Good level of fitness required for three hour walk around the canyon’s rim. 
  • Or low to moderate level of fitness required for the canyon floor walk.
