Enjoy the luxury of a private vehicle for just you and your friends or family. This tour allows you to get a quick glimpse of what the Gold Coast Hinterland has to offer. If you have time constraints, just want to get back to the beach or are planning a sleep in; join us for a relaxing half day away from the city.
Following the original track built by early pioneers to transport their produce to the Coast, the tour winds through eucalyptus trees to enter the magnificent rainforests of Tamborine Mountain National Parks. While negotiating this seldom used track we keep a look out for koala and other native wildlife.
Our guides have lived in the area for over 20 years and have extensive local knowledge and expertise. Share their favourite places and learn about the Hinterland, its unique flora and fauna. View waterfalls cascading into cool mountain streams.
A break for morning or afternoon tea and chance to check out Gallery Walk on the Mountain. Delicious fresh scones, served with jams, cream, tea and coffee.
Next stop is Cedar Creek Glow Worm Caves which consists of two large chambers interlinked by tunnels. The first chamber is the "presentation cave", where you will be shown an audiovisual display on the Glow Worms. This chamber is complete with very realistic formations, such as stalagmites and stalactites, water features and flow stone. From this stunning cave, you will be guided through the magical "Glow Worm cave", filled with thousands of glowing Glow Worms.
If time permits we can take you on a fully guided walk to the mountains only spring fed waterfall. Discovering the lush subtropical rainforests we will tell you about the forest's unique characteristics, how the Aboriginal people gathered food from the forest floor and the animals and birds that call the area home.
Wine tasting is optional and if it does not interest you can spend more time on Gallery walk or exploring the many other things that the mountain offers. We are guided by what you want to see and do.
And yes, boomerangs do come back. Haven't thrown one since you were a kid, or first time to Australia, this is great fun for all ages.
The return journey to the Gold Coast provides sweeping views of the Coast and surrounding mountain ranges. We can even drop you back after the morning tour at Australia Fair, Movie World or Harbour Town on our way back into town to save you on precious holiday time!
